We manufacture all our products in the USA. Our flagship DM1 Wallet is manufactured in-house on our CNC milling machine. Some of our finishing operations and surface coatings are outsourced to other vendors - mostly in the Pacific Northwest, but we do have suppliers and service providers across the US. We got our start in Northern California, but we moved our office and built out a machine shop in Seattle, WA in late 2016.
DM1 Wallets are machined from solid billet Aluminum or Titanium. This gives the DM1 the necessary strength an elasticity to protect and securely hold your cards. There are no rubber bands, snaps, velcro, straps or fasteners to wear out or break. Sure - the shape is complex and a little difficult to machine - but it's worth it to produce the simplest to use and most elegant card wallet available.
In order to completely control the manufacturing process and product quality, we decided it was important to make as much of our products in-house. It gives us better control over design, inventory and lead times - and gives us the final say on quality.
To be completely honest, our Okuma M560 CNC milling machine is total overkill for making a wallet - but it ensures we make high quality parts to very tight tolerances. It also gives us the freedom to be creative and to prototype as we see fit.
